Eleanor Clement is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she received both a Masters in Women & Gender Studies as well as a Masters in Library & Information Science.
Eleanor’s primary area of focus is community and non-traditional archiving. She has worked with the UW Milwaukee Digital Collections, processing the Herman Weil Collection, and with the Jewish Museum Milwaukee Archives. She has served as the lead archivist on the “Engaging with Archives on Behalf of the Oglala Lakota Nation” project for the last two years.
As part of our Archives & Collections Committee, Eleanor has guided the intake, processing, and digitization of physical donations and significant collections, including the Gayla Turner Collection, Castaways Archives, and Lesbian Alliance of Metro Milwaukee (LAMM) historical materials.
Eleanor is a lifelong Wisconsin native and currently resides in Milwaukee with her partner, Gini, and two cats.
