Trocadero, an East Side tribute to Parisian Art Nouveau tabacs and cafes, opened Sept. 27 2001 in the long-ago home of Regency East. In summer 2004, the second floor opened as Red Light, a separate nightclub that welcomed live music, dancing, and DJs, including popular PUMP DJ John Murges. In October 2006, PUMP launched a Red Light residency with Babylon, a special weekly event that packed the space every Thursday for two years. Babylon ended in August 2008 when Red Light reverted to private event space.
