Club Jay-Jay, formerly known as drag hotspot Club Milwaukeean, was the scene of Adrian Ames May 1961 farewell show, "The Paris to Harlem Revue." The show closed after a lackluster 12-week run and Club Jay-Jay struggled to find a following. In March 1962, the City of Milwaukee revoked its liquor license for selling liquor to minors. The building was razed soon afterwards for I-43 construction.
