Crossroads, also known as L.D. Crossroads Drinking Emporium, was an Appleton tavern opened by Lori Loey and Karen Davis in 2000. The bar was very popular with local women for six years. However, the City of Appleton approved a smoking ban in 2005 that impacted bar revenue. After a decline in business, Crossroads closed for several weeks in July 2006, reopened August 21, and then closed forever sometime in spring 2007. The tavern was razed for an Advance Auto Parts that has already closed.
