D's Place was a brave attempt to open a new women's bar on Milwaukee's North Side. Unfortunately, the property -- a traditional duplex tavern on the corner of Port Washington Road and Capitol Drive -- had long suffered from robberies, break-ins, and shootings. D's Place only survived for eight months. The lot has been vacant since 2006.
