Emeralds was as a haven for Milwaukee's queer Black community, offering drag shows, dance parties, beer busts, and margarita nights in a Riverwest tavern setting. This haven was especially important for customers who didn't always feel welcome or comfortable in Walker's Point spaces. We welcome any information available about this location.
