Owner Ray initially opened Ray's bar in 1992. Two years later, he decided to open Reflections, a second bar, but instead named it Geraldine's after his mother. He then sold the original Ray's bar, making Geraldine's his sole focus. After struggling with a "western" theme, Ray revived Ray's Bar as a side addition to Geraldine's in 1995. Over the next few years, the complex expanded to include multiple bars and a restaurant. By 1998, the entire business was rebranded as Ray's Bar & Grill. It closed briefly in 2002 before reopening at a new location in 2003.
