Golden Shaft was a very short-lived subterranean disco in Milwaukee. It opened in late 1983 in the basement of the Sydney Hih building. The space was previously known as the Mine Shaft and the Lost Dutchman Mine. We welcome any available information about this location.
When the disco scene began to fade, Gus Hosseini bought out his partners, remodeled the space, and reopened The Unicorn on March 2, 1984 as a gay bar.
