The Grand Avenue Pub, owned by partners Paul Gumsey and Scott O'Meara, was a popular bar and restaurant on Wisconsin Avenue that catered to both a business crowd and a gay clientele. Its Friday fish fries and convenient location near the Club Baths made it a very popular destination. When the bar faced leasing issues in summer 1986, the owners leased the former Ding Dong Bar and opened the Grand Avenue Annex. However, after the original lease was renewed, the Annex was closed.
