From 1990 to 1996, Grubb's Pub was a bar and grill in the basement of La Cage. The venue, which had its own entrance on Second Street, was named after co-owner Corey Grubb. Grubb's Pub served many purposes: for some it was the first stop of the night, for others, a quiet refuge from the dance club above, and for many, a late-night, after-hours last call before ending the night. Despite many attempts to revive lower level food service, the popularity of Grubb's Pub has never again been matched.
