The Hot Spot was a mysterious, short-lived venue in a historic Schlitz tied house. Long known as Humboldt Gardens, and later Zak's and the Spruce Goose, Hot Spot was an attempt to create a new warehouse club experience for gay Black Milwaukee. The venue hosted the Mr. and Miss Black Gay Wisconsin pageant on March 10, 1991, but never advertised again. We welcome any available information about this location.
