When Otto Schuller fell in love with reigning "it kid" Jamie Gays, he offered him the New Seaway bar operation to run as his own. Jamie's opened December 28, 1972 featuring DJ Josie Carter. Unfortunately, Schuller died of a heart attack in New York on November 26, 1973 at age 49. Jamie's closed soon afterwards.
