Jet's Place, a women's bar, opened in May 1986, replacing the former Clay's Castaways. There was no advance notice of the change in ownership and name. The bar's grand opening took place in August 1986. Owned by Jeanette, Jet's Place quickly became popular with a diverse clientele. Jeanette eventually sold the bar to four partners who renamed it 3Bs.
