The Kilbourn Guest House was a gay-friendly bed and breakfast operating in an 7,000-square-foot Historic Concordia District mansion. The Victorian Romanesque home, designed by Alfred C. Clas and built for local merchant Bernard Joseph Eiring in 1888, contains 18 rooms with 11-foot ceilings, four fireplaces, extensive decorative plasterwork, and durable Cream City brick. The Kilbourn Guest House opened in 1992 and was featured in many national magazines and neighborhood tours until closing in 2007. The building is now a private home.
