The Loft, owned by Robin Eich and Mickey Baumann, opened in August 1982 as a Green Bay women's bar. Celebrated as the largest of its kind in northern Wisconsin, The Loft is fondly remembered by its longtime customers. In mid-1989, it was briefly rebranded as MJR's Loft, a name change that was never fully accepted by clients or advertisers. The Loft closed in July 1991. The building is no longer standing.
