Lombardo's Piano Lounge was a gay-friendly Madison destination long before Stonewall. Although listed in national gay guides from 1963 to 1966, it's likely Lombardo's was a destination much earlier. In 1966, the notorious Dangle Lounge opened at this address. By the 1970s, Madison's First Settlement District had become a red light district. Since 2011, the space has been occupied by The Rigby. We welcome any available information about this location.
