After a December 27, 1996 fire destroyed the original Main Club, owner Bob Jansen moved to a 1926 vintage building on Tower Avenue, where it reopened on July 23, 1997. Julie Casper Roth featured Jansen's legacy in her 2010 documentary, The Main. In August 2017, Bob Jansen announced he was retiring and closing the bar. Fortunately, Shawn Roos and Larry Ricker assumed ownership, and the Main Club continues to serve as a safe haven for emerging generations today.
