Originally opening as Allegre in January 1995, Manoeuvres reopened as a dance club with the adjoining Mad Bar. In 1998, the owners decided to relocate to a larger space, and after a "Final Show" on August 23, the bar closed on August 30. The new, much larger complex, which included Club 5, a restaurant, a gift shop, and a leather bar called The Barracks, opened September 3, 1998 at its current location.
