Masquers was a bar in Wausau, Wisconsin, that opened in December 1989. Founded by David and Dan after their previous establishment, the R-Bar, was destroyed in a fire, Masquers held its grand opening in February 1990. The bar had a short lifespan, however, closing around September 1991. It was then taken over by Ann Brunow and reopened as The Mad Hatter in October of the same year.
