Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project Fundraiser
If you appreciate the History Project's work, we hope you'll support the second fundraiser in our 29-year history!
We are a self-funded, independent, all-volunteer, non-profit team -- and we provide most services FREE to the community.
Join us at the 4th Annual Banji Ball as we honor the power, beauty, and brilliance of Black and Brown culture through arts, film, music, and fashion.
When: Tuesday, December 9 (doors open 6pm; Legends, Stars and Statements* at 7pm sharp!)
Where: Location TBA
Who: DJ BUDA 007, Host Tee Tee Mizrahi, MC Robyn Pink Lady-Balmain, and more!
In recognition of World AIDS Day, Empowering Community Action Initiative (ECAI) is bringing awareness with every look, every walk, and every moment. Expect bold statements, creative storytelling, and fashion that uplifts HIV care and prevention, harm reduction, and support for those impacted by substance use.
We celebrate our ancestors, honor those we’ve lost, and embrace a future where HIV is no longer a death sentence, a future where we continue living long, healthy, and powerful lives.
Let’s come together, show up for each other, and make history on the runway!
The Banji Ball is a collaboration between ECAI, BLAQMKE, Ballroom Therapy, Vivent Health, the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center, and more. We are proud to partner with ECAI to create experiences that celebrate the diverse LGBTQ histories, communities and heritage of Wisconsin.
See you at the Banji Ball!
*Legends, Stars, and Statements (LSS) pays homage to the pillars and up and coming stars in the House and Ballroom communities, including their respective families and allies.
