BLAQToBERFEST returns October 22-26

The 3rd annual event celebrates Black, Brown, Latino, Indigenous and LGBTQ communities through wellness, heritage, liberation and collective action.

Four days in October might just change your view of the world.

Join us for our last stop on the Summer to be Seen tour....BLAQToBERFEST 2026! Building upon last year's foundation of Rooted in Power: Healing, Heritage, and Hope, BLAQToBERFEST embraces the theme "Cultivating Futures: Wellness, Legacy, and Liberation."

BLAQToBERFEST focuses on transforming healing into action by investing in the future of Black, Brown, Latino, Indigenous, and LGBTQ communities.  Together, we will explore how collective wellness, cultural legacy, and community empowerment create pathways toward liberation, equity, and sustainable change.

This year's program will include:

  • cultural celebrations
  • wellness and healing activities
  • leadership development
  • community dialogues
  • health and economic equity discussions
  • collective action, and
  • a very special Sunday Funday gathering, where we will honor our 2026 BeSeen Award winners!

BLAQToBEFEST is produced by BLAQ MKE, a community-powered movement building a more just, healthy, and liberated future.

The Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project proudly sponsors BLAQToBERFEST as an expression of our commitment to anti-racism, social justice, and community belonging.  Additional sponsorship opportunities are available at the BLAQToBERFEST website.
