We believe that our heritage deserves to be seen.
And we're excited to welcome the National Trust for Historic Preservation to Milwaukee for the PastForward Conference September 16-18!
We are proud to partner with the UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning to make this event possible. Check out the full conference schedule -- now available online!
We're hosting a field study, Reclaiming Queer Spaces, on Wednesday, September 17 from 10:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
This walking tour examines the importance of protecting and celebrating historic buildings with marginalized histories. We'll visit seven former "gay bars" from Milwaukee's past -- while exploring ways to preserve these spaces and their histories for the future.
PastForward is where leaders in the field come together to generate solutions for today’s preservation movement and the various communities we serve. Sessions and speakers will highlight how our work: spurs economic development; nurtures a healthier environment; and fosters a stronger, shared sense of civic duty and belonging.
Come together with your peers to build ideas, share efforts, and amplify our collective impact!
Get advance tickets before August 23 -- and sign up for our Field Study before it sells out!
