Winter Thaw Auction supports Lesbian Visibility Week 2026

We're proud to partner with the LVW Milwaukee Committee to celebrate the heritage of LGBTQ women and nonbinary people April 20-26.
Lesbian Visibility Week runs April 20-26, 2026

Lesbian Visibility Week might not start until April 20, but a dedicated local team is already active planning, organizing, and raising funds for this year's celebration.

The Winter Thaw Silent Auction kicked off on February 7, offering visitors the chance to bid on amazing prizes, including festival tickets, Packers swag, health and wellness services, restaurant gift certificates, and more!

"The silent auction will connect us with supporters, raise awareness, and generate resources to continue our mission," said Beverly Jenkins, co-chair of the Lesbian Visibility Week Milwaukee Committee. "All funds will directly support initiatives to hold events and offer programming for LGBTQ+ women and nonbinary people."

Online bids will be accepted now through February 28.

The LVW committee is working hard to foster understanding, enhance visibility, and build a lasting, positive legacy for our community highlighting and celebrating the experiences, perspectives, and needs of LGBTQ women and nonbinary people.

"We are incredibly excited about this event and look forward to the positive impact it will have on our community," said Brenda Hanus, co-chair of the Lesbian Visibility Week Milwaukee Committee.

"Thank you to The Curve Foundation and our community partners for their continuous support and dedication to our purpose."

As a project sponsor, the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project is proud to support LVW Milwaukee, LVW USA, and the Curve Foundation in celebrating the voice, visibility, history, and heritage of LGBTQ women and non-binary people throughout Wisconsin.
