We're proud to be named Wisconsin Nonprofit Organization of the Year!

Exciting news: the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce has named us the 2025 Nonprofit Organization of the Year! 

The award recognizes a nonprofit organization that empowers and contributes to the growth of the diverse business community.  

Ricardo Wynn, representing the Board of Directors, will present an acceptance speech at the Nov. 13 event.

2025 is the History Project's first year as a 501c3 nonprofit organization, so this recognition is especially meaningful.

"We give thanks to our all-volunteer team who helped us build the Nonprofit of the Year -- and who help our history and heritage be seen every day in Wisconsin," said Michail Takach, president and chair.

"For over 30 years, we've been powered by volunteer passion, not profit... so this award truly belongs to them."

This year's 13th Annual Business Awards ceremony will be held Thursday, Nov. 13 in the Streets of Old Milwaukee at the Milwaukee Public Museum (800 W. Wells St.). Tickets are available for purchase at the Chamber website.
