Hamburger Mary's, whose long and colorful history began in San Francisco in April 1972, opened its first Milwaukee location in Bay View on October 5, 2011. The location, a former fast-food restaurant on KK Avenue, was a curious one. The venue opened with a four-seat bar and a small stage area. Over the years, owners Brandon and Ashley Wright wowed audiences with Maryoke, Bingo, Dining with the Divas, Gospel Brunch, and an outdoor lanai. In November 2016, the business relocated to Walker's Point. The building was demolished a year later.
