Very little is known about Lydia or Lydia's Bar, except that the business relocated from Kenosha to Racine in August 1972 for reasons unknown. The original location at 10936 Sheridan Rd. reopened as The Shack. The neighborhood, already in decline, saw increased crime throughout the 1970s, and Lydia's seems to have lost its customers in the move. The bar closed sometime in fall 1974 and reopened as a straight go-go bar.
