Our Place, a gay bar in Racine, Wisconsin, opened on April 1, 1988, by partners "Paul" and "Darren." It featured a DJ, a light show, and a large dance floor. The bar hosted community events, including an AIDS fundraiser and a pageant. The owners split in October 1988, and Darren briefly reopened the bar alone. However, it closed permanently in March 1989, failing to reach its one-year anniversary.
