POP, Milwaukee’s first new gay bar in 13 years, celebrated its grand opening on September 8, 2023. Owned by Marcus Wise and Daniel Patterson, POP is a full-service bar, restaurant and performance space that offers a seven-day menu, including fast-casual food and weekend brunch. Wise sought to create a next-generation LGBTQ space, one that was bright, colorful and community-focused, rather than just another traditional 20th century tavern.
