Pulse, a short-lived nightclub in Appleton, opened in January 2008. Originally a straight bar, owner Erin Marheine bought out her partners and, with new partner Patrick Tarkowski, reopened it as a gay club. The spacious 8,800-square-foot venue featured a bar, dance floor, game room, and a restaurant. Despite a significant media splash, the bar seems to have closed quickly. It disappeared from bar listings after May 2008 and no advertising has ever been located. We welcome any available information about this location.
