Shadows II - The Top Shelf opened on December 11, 1987, at the former Hot Legs location. Owned by Dan Hewett and Matthew Gorden, the bar featured an updated Art Deco interior design with soft pink, maroon, and mauve tones, dim lighting, and a great sound system. When Your Place temporarily closed, Shadows II enjoyed a brief but unsustainable burst of business. The restaurant abruptly closed in August 1989.
