The Ski Glow Cafe and Laundry was a 24-hour restaurant and laundromat that became a gay-friendly hotspot in 1975, thanks to its new night-shift waitress, Helen Joslin, known affectionately as "Dirty Helen." She was famous for her loud, raunchy humor and playful insults toward her customers, whom she called her "boys." The cafe was a popular late-night destination, often filled with people after the bars closed. The business was sold in 1986, and Helen retired and moved to Oklahoma. The location was later reopened as the Walker's Point Cafe.
