Stealers, a short-lived gay disco in Racine, opened in April 1982 to compete with Jo'Dees International. The building had previously housed the Puss'n'Boots gay club. Owned by George "Bobby" Lyons of The Shack, with Mark Braun as manager, the bar was promoted as "Racine's Newest, Hottest Disco." However, the disco craze was ice cold by 1982, and the area didn't need or want another gay bar. Stealers vanished from media listings by late July 1982.
