Tattoo's, a primarily lesbian bar in La Crosse, opened in December 1980. It was listed in national gay guides starting in 1983. While some guides noted it was for both men and women, In Step magazine consistently listed it as a women's bar that welcomed men. For reasons unknown, the bar's name was changed to Tattoo's II in late 1985. It closed permanently on January 12, 1989. We welcome any available information about this location.
