Logo:
The Prologue, a successful restaurant open from 1963 to 1981, was known for its Victorian atmosphere, turn of the century decor, and excellent food. Tucked into a South Side neighborhood, The Prologue was extremely popular with gay customers. The restaurant featured Dawn Koreen, a prominent Milwaukee lesbian piano player, every weekend for over a decade. Co-owned by Jerry Jensen and Richard Leitgeb, the Prologue closed when Jensen reportedly disappeared for tax evasion. Although the Prologue is long gone, the building still stands today.
