The Tool Shed, a mission-driven sex toy store in Milwaukee, opened in 2004, offering body-safe products in a comfortable, sex-positive environment. Founded by Eilis O'Herlihy and Andy Penasa, it was later sold to Laura Anne Stuart in 2008 and moved to a new, larger location. The store is known for its knowledgeable staff and educational workshops. It has won numerous awards, including "Best Adult Boutique in the nation" in 2014, and has hosted prominent sexuality educators and activists.
