Uptown Grille was a State Street restaurant known for active cruising and tearoom action. The restaurant was listed in national gay guides from 1963 to 1967. However, customers report that this location was active after World War II. Shakti, a well-known local retailer, later occupied the space. We welcome any available information about this location.
