The Wolfe's Den, also known as Wolfie's, was a neighborhood bar that became a gay-friendly establishment around 1990 after its owner, John Wolfe, came out. The bar lost its straight clientele but maintained a loyal following of gay regulars. It wasn't until the opening of another gay bar, The Trading Company, in 1995 that Wolfe felt confident enough to advertise more openly. After Wolfe's death in 2005, the bar was incorporated into a neighboring restaurant and is no longer a gay establishment.
