Following the unexpected death of his co-owner, Mark 'Za' Mariucci was forced to relocate his popular bar. He acquired the historic West Theatre building, and despite a brief closure of the bar between locations, Za's Historic West Theatre opened in February 2001. The nightclub remained open until 2005.
