Wisconsin Drag Awards named us "Community Partner of the Year"

After a historic first year as a 501c3 nonprofit organization, we are proud to be recognized in the 2025 Wisconsin Drag Awards.
The Wisconsin Drag Awards celebrate the top achievements of performers and organizations statewide every January.

We are proud to be named "Community Partner of the Year 2025" at the Wisconsin Drag Awards on Sunday, January 18.

The Community Partner of the Year Award recognizes an organization who best supports the statewide drag community through engagement, appreciation, and advocacy work.  This year's nominees included Proud Theater Group, GSAFE, Diverse & Resilient and the Wisconsin LGBTQ History Project.

On Sunday, January 18, Diane Gregory and Shannon Thuecks accepted the award on behalf of the History Project.

"Thank you!  Your support means the world to all of us -- as we are all unpaid volunteers donating our time to this work.

We have been doing this work since 1994 -- over 30 years -- but in many ways, our work has become more important than ever.  Our government is actually erasing trans and queer existence from federal websites, monuments, and funding programs. This isn't propaganda. This is happening. And if you think it's going to stop with the T and the Q, you have not been paying attention.

It has never been more important for our stories to be told. It has never been more important for our entire community to be seen. And it has never been more important for us to stand together as one.  Because together, we are truly unstoppable!"

We are proud to share that our Vice President, Ricardo Wynn, was named in an additional award.  The Haus of Infiniti, led by Montell Infiniti Ross, received "Best Drag Family."  Congratulations to the Infiniti family on their win!

We also celebrate the "Big 3" Award Winners:  Legend of Drag (Mistruss Lola,) Best Male Entertainer (Pony Boy Trevor Topel) and Best Drag Queen (Bryanna Banx$)

Onward to 2026!
