Men's Voices Milwaukee

Men's Voices Milwaukee was a gay choral ensemble formed in June 2001 with financial support from Jack H. Smith. The original cast was composed of 19 members. Their first concert was a sold-out show at the Milwaukee Public Library's Centennial Hall. Eventually, Men's Voices moved to the Zelazo Center at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where the group grew to 50 members.

The community chorus performed three to four times a year, in addition to benefit and memorial shows, while maintaining an office at the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center.  

In October 2005, Men's Voices launched a fundraiser to create a complementary women's chorus. The Men's Voices concert in June 2006 announced "special guests," and the grand reveal was the debut performance of the new Women's Voices Milwaukee chorus.

In 2011, several members left Men's Voices to form the CIty of Festivals Men's Chorus. The new group was composed of 20 very active performers, but had submerged its gay identity with the rebranding. As City of Festivals, the singers often partnered with Madison's Perfect Harmony Chorus to do joint productions.

Men's Voices continued to operate until 2017.

In 2019, City of Festivals Men's Chorus changed its name to Our Voice Milwaukee - Chorus for Gay Men and Allies, a more inclusive name and mission for its future. Our Voice is open to all genders and identities. Since rebranding, the group has expanded its programming while expanding its membership from 11 to 100+ members.  Today, Our Voice is the premiere Milwaukee-area vocal performance group.
